A bill designed to impose stricter rules on process servers died when the California legislature ended its session on August 31. Sources who attended the hearing said that Senator Dennis Hollingsworth, who authored SB 984, was never introduced on the Senate floor, so the bill won’t be headed for the Governor’s desk after all.
