Gavel Down, Inc. was started by Ronnie Williams, a native of Eatonville, Florida. Ron is a graduate of Edgewater Senior High, Orlando, Black Hills State University, Spearfish, South Dakota (Security Administration), and City College of Casselberry, Florida (AS/Private Investigations).

Ron served sixteen years as a Security Force member and supervisor in the United States Air Force, worked seven years for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and is a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
