About

Kevin opened his Investigation Firm in early 2010 after having spent over 20 years in Law Enforcement.

Kevin has worked in every area of Law Enforcement, working his way up through the ranks.

In 1984 Kevin joined the Amarillo Police Department. He was elected president of his graduating Police Academy class.

In 1991, he took a position as Chief Deputy with the Childress County Sheriff's Office. In 1995, Kevin was appointed Sheriff by the Commissioners Court of Childress County.

In 1996 he ran unopposed and was elected by the citizens as Sheriff of Childress County. Kevin left mid-term to take a position with the Lubbock County Sheriff in 1999 as the Internal Affairs Sgt.

In 2002 he was promoted to Administrative Lieutenant where he continued to oversee Internal Affairs, including Courthouse Security, Communications, Records Division, Fleet Operations, Training Academy, Grants, Safety, and Worker Compensation issues for the Sheriff's Office.

In December 2004, He was appointed by the County Judge as Lubbock County's Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. In November 2005, he was promoted to Captain, where he supervised the Law Enforcement Division, to include Patrol, Warrants, Narcotics, Criminal Investigations, Swat Team, and Bomb Squad.

Kevin Overstreet currently holds an active Master Peace Officer license, and Instructor’s license from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.

Most importantly, Kevin and his family are members of Indiana Baptist Church.
