Become a Missouri Process Server

Requirements to Become a Process Server in Missouri
  • Outside of the City of St Louis, any adult over eighteen (18) years of age, that is not a party to the case, or a member of a corporation or organization that is a party, may serve papers in Missouri.
  • The City of St Louis Missouri requires that all individuals looking to become a process server must take and pass a training course. The course consists of five (5) nights in the classroom for instruction with a written examination. The course will be administered by the Sheriff of the City of St Louis.
  • Applicants must be twenty-one (21) years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and no criminal record. All process servers are required to have E&O (errors and omissions insurance) coverage with limits of at least $100,000.
