Questions from a ServeNow.com advertiser

As soon as we sent out our Phase 1 Announcement for ServeManager late Saturday night, the emails started coming in. Long-time ServeNow.com advertiser, Barbara Baughman of Freelance Investigations in Hillsboro Oregon had some great questions for us. Barbara agreed to share them with the rest of you. I want to be able to assign this task to another member of my company but I do not want them to be able to edit (my ServeNow.com advertising profiles) -- is this separate area?

ANSWER:

Great question and this brings up one of our favorite ServeManager features. This is not a separate area, it's managed by "user permissions" - people only get access to the things that they need access to. You don't need to give your employees the "keys to the kingdom" to use ServeManager.

As the account admin, you can decide who has access to specific jobs and who can update and edit profiles. As more features are rolled out (i.e. accounting/billing) you will be able to choose which employees have access to those features.

Can we upload (our own) proofs?

ANSWER:

Yes. Whether you are generating proofs from another app or creating them in Microsoft word, or a similar app, you have the ability to upload your own files. You can even upload scanned images of proofs.

How is payment handled?

ANSWER:

We do not currently deal with payments, and of course what you charge is between you and your client. We are currently planning an accounting/billing module that will surely save you lots of time. :)

You can, however, use the document upload feature to upload invoices for your clients.

Do you intend to (integrate) with (well-known software product) for comments, status, etc?

ANSWER:

Although we are not currently working on integration with other popular process serving applications, this is not out of the question. We're focusing on making ServeManager great first. ;) We do understand that many of our advertisers are happy with what they are currently using and realize it would make their lives easier if data could be shared between applications.
