Billionaire Avoids Service of Process

Palm Beach, Florida – Donald Trump sold a home in Palm Beach to Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev but now the ownership of the property is causing some confusion. Rybolovlev is now disavowing owning the property, which he allegedly purchased from Trump for $95 million. At the time, Rybolovlev admitted that he had purchased the property as an investment but now that the billionaire and his wife are engaged in a divorce and arguing about splitting the assets, Rybolovlev seems to be distancing himself from the property. According to process servers, Rybolovlev has also been trying to distance himself from the case, trying to evade process servers on at least two occasions in Hawaii, leading to dramatic confrontations. Process server Christopher Williams has stated that at one point he jumped on Rybolovlev’s Cadillac while it was in motion and placed the legal documents on the windshield while Rybolovlev tried to avoid getting served. In another encounter, Rybolovlev tried to speed away from Williams in his car, forcing the process server to place the legal documents on the windshield.
