BEAUMONT, TX -- In March, Klein Investigations & Consulting, owned by Philip Klein, filed a lawsuit against the city of Beaumont, alleging that the city's police were harassing the company's process servers. In June, Beaumont pleaded that the city enjoys immunity. Klein Investigations & Consulting responded by maintaining that cities are liable for torts. Klein Investigations & Consulting is seeking damages and court costs. Judge Gary Sanderson 60th District Court is assigned to Case No. B189-589.
