Court Ruling: Allowing Service by Mail

TAMPA BAY, FL -- Verizon filed a lawsuit against Directnic as well as several individuals, including Sig Solares. Solares alleged that he was not served properly because the documents related to the case were mailed to him and not served in person. Solares alleges that he did not receive the documents and did not sign for them. However, a Federal Court in Tampa rejected the argument that Solares was not served correctly. Verizon tried repeatedly to serve Solares and was finally given authorization by the court to serve an amended complaint.
